The Cassel Grove Homestead Inn Bed and Breakfast on Four Mile Creek is a charming retreat located
just south of Nebraska City, Nebraska. It is a beautiful 1880's era homestead offering cheerful guestrooms
and a delicious full breakfast each morning of your stay.

Saturday nights throughout the year as well as selected weekdays throughout the year; check

The house that is now Cassel Grove Homestead Inn was built around 1880.
The land that the house sits on was part of a 160 acre parcel divided up as part of the Homestead Act of 1862.
It is believed that a Captain Cassel of the Union Army acquired the land as part of his severance pay.
The Cassel Grove name came from the name of the one room school house, part of district 34, that used to sit on the far
southeastern corner of the 160 plot.
Although exact dates and details of the home's rich history and lineage are presently
being researched, the Cassels lived in the house until the Wickhorst's, who remained owners of the
property until 1975 when the Jensens purchased the property. The Jensens renovated the home with great
love and care and turned it into the beautiful home that it is today. The home has an unfinished attic that was
previously lived in by a school teacher in the mid 1930's.

Cassel Grove serves a full gourmet breakfast, featuring locally grown produce as well as other locally produced ingredients when
available.
We serve Peet's fresh roasted gourmet coffee as well as a variety of locally produced food
items when available; such as honey, fruit pies and pork products from Harvest Valley Foods
in Bellevue, Nebraska, apples and related food items from Kimmel Orchards in Nebraska City,
and vegetables from farmer's markets in the area.
Cassel Grove presents its breakfast using Longaberger pottery and baskets.
